When we were still getting meat deals at Dom's I did a really nice Prime rib... we'll see what's a deal this year for Christmas eve, but we almost always have traditional turkey dinner again on Christmas Day. I did a quarter ham last weekend so I don't think they'll be up for it again so soon. Maybe a pork crown roast again?

Christmas Eve we do lots of appetizers with the kids. They enjoy it so it's tradition now. Christmas Day we will have an egg bake and cinnamon rolls for breakfast. Later afternoon we will pull out the leftover apps and I am going to make Crockpot Loaded Potato soup.

Having Christmas Eve too.
Catering Beef, Chicken and Salad from POPS.
Baking a ham and hash brown casserole.
Sides. Depends on what I feel like making.
Hope to have tons of leftovers for the kids unless my mother takes a bunch. I'm not kidding, she shows up with a bag of tupperware and says"What can I take?" in her whiney voice.

Usually we have tenderloin & crablegs. I think I want something less "formal" this year. I don't even know who's coming. I'm leaning towards appetizers.

We are having Christmas Eve too. We are doing appetizers. I'm going to get some Chicken Tenders for a local restaurant and then make a few dips and a Crockpot of Hot Chocolate and making these cute stir sticks I have never made Hot Chocolate in the crockpot so hopefully it's good. I got the recipe off of pinterest.

Those are cute, couponmom ! Well, invited my bro & nephew over Xmas eve...still don't know if I'll be working or not. At the very least, I'll probly have some snacky foods- nephew has to be gluten & chicken free so that may be a challenge. Xmas day, we are going to my MIL's-there will be chocolate & biscuits for breakfast & then IDK. I guess we will be staying most of the day, which will probably drive me insane. LOL

We do Christmas eve just with us and MIL/FIL occasionally one set of BIL/SIL . Traditionally we make prime rib, twice baked potatoes, salad, a veggie and rolls BUT DS#1 has begged me for an Italian ( ummm pasta) dinner he has requested lasagna and sausage and peppers. Nice to see that now that he is grown and on his own he misses my cooking. When he was home he sure didn't appreciate it! I think it helps that his girlfriends family, which he lives near by , are horrible cooks

I have narrowed it down. Waiting for DH's thoughts, but let's face it- he's not shopping for it, prepping it or cooking it, so.... AppetizersCheese Plate Bacon Wrapped Dates Cranberry Pecan Brie Crostini BeveragesCranberry Apple Infused Water Wine Beer Diet Coke Main CourseRib Roast {something vegetarian} Rosemary Garlic Potatoes Mini Mushroom Galettes Glazed Root Vegetables Rosemary Bread Candied Pecan, Craisin & Feta Salad with Creamy Balsamic Dressing DessertBread Pudding Totally winging it. Aside from the bread & the galette, all of these are new-to-me recipes. That's a little scary, but everything seems fool proof.

Let me know how the Cranberry Pecan Brie Crostini turn out....I recently pinned those and they look AWESOME. But too "out there" for DH's family. They are more cocktail weiner people.

We're going to Selene's brothers house for Christmas eve... The one who looks like Santa Claus so VERY appropriate! LOL very happy that we'll get to spend time with Miranda and everyone else... Scott will not b joining us
Christmas day dinner at muther's ...sis and I are bringing most of it... Ham, rice pilaf, green neans... Simple stuff... I'm sure I'll b decorating cookies til the last minute. I think dd's bf will b joining us... That's nice. I'd like to get to know him better.
One of our favorite appetizers for many years has been a round of brie wrapped and baked in a sheet of puff pastry, with almonds, cranberries and a bit of jam filling... Easy to make it holiday pretty by adding cookie cutter shapes to decorate the top !

I think I am going to do an Italian meal. Probably lasagne, stuffed shells, olive tray, bread/rolls, salad. I need to find a nice salad recipe with nothing "weird" in it. Insert eye roll. My mother is such a picky eater.. Drives.me.crazy.

My mother is such a picky eater.. Drives.me.crazy. I think that means she just doesn't get to eat I decided on making Italian beefs for Xmas Eve. Easy, I think my bro & nephew will like it, and I can make it in the crock pot LOL Not sure on appetizers- cheese & crackers, probably (have to find special crackers for nephew), maybe bbq turkey meatballs, chips & dip...I might do a hot cheese or artichoke dip & hopefully won't be the only one eating it LOL
