I've got a busy day too, have some chicken legs thawing in fridge. Planning to put them in the oven to roast when I go running this afternoon.... add in a can of green beans and start the rice cooker... voila, dinner

I make bacon spaghetti often...
Bacon Spaghetti Sauté: 2 cups chopped onion 2 cups chopped celery 1 pound chopped bacon
Add 2 large cans of tomato sauce and salt and sugar to taste. Simmer for 15 minutes. Serve over cooked spaghetti.

I'm feeling kind of burnt out on cooking dinner. One of the kids badmouths it and DH can be critical. Just not a good time lately. Hubby helps on the weekends, but he is way too critical in my opinion.
We are having breakfast food for dinner tonight.

Hugs 4boyzrus .... It's so discouraging when people complain after you made dinner. Last night I made spaghetti and sliced sausages DH had grilled over the weekend for the meat in the spaghetti. Three of us liked it, the other two only ate the noodles and sauce. Had to figure out another meat for them. Annoying. DH used to be more picky but either I've been more aware of his preferences and take them into account better, or perhaps he's realized that criticism does NOT improve the kitchen "staff" attitude.

Sorry, 4boyz. I've gotten used to DD16 complaining, but only recently stopped making her something else if I know she won't like what I've made. And she's 16. If she doesn't like it, she can make herself a waffle or cereal, I no longer care, and DH takes her portion for lunch another day. If I had a dollar for every time I've said to her, "I don't make 'disgusting' food" it could've paid for her prom dress. My DH *rarely* complains, though he won't eat certain foods. If he complained regularly I'd stop cooking. I'm fine with PB&J or he'd realize the strain on the budget going out every night causes. I have very little tolerance for grown people complaining about what others do for them, lol.

Tonight is leftovers. I made a big pork loin on Saturday, tonight will be the third meal out of it. After tonight the rest is going in the freezer. I will probably make a pasta salad to go along with the pork and some kind of veggie.

Well yesterday was a fail & I had DH pick up dinner on his way home from work. Today DD has a game & then I'm picking up an shelving unit from Craigslist. I just don't see how I can cook.
