The skinnier the better! I find the thicker it is, the more bitter it can be. I looove the really thin asparagus, sautéed with a tiny bit of olive oil, some lemon juice and a little salt & pepper. Just takes a few minutes to cook.

I'm going with skinny too. Neighbor brought skinny asparagus from Valli yesterday .99 cents lb.

The thicker ones are often tougher, too, IMO. Love asparagus!

I will have to try the skinny ones again.
If I have tough ones in the thicker kind I just take a veggie pealer and peal the tough part off.

I kinda thought this topic might have went elsewhere. Don't know why . But anywho what really made me ask was because when DH and I went to Indy we had a wonderful prime rib dinner that included 3 Huge stalks of asparagus. Huge!!!!! And they where the best asparagus DH and I have ever had. Never have even seen that size in the stores.
