I actually have NO idea. I've kind of been winging it this week with what we have "in stock." I'm thinking grilled cheese & soup. DH will be visibly disappointed & a little panicky about the lack of Meat, but he won't complain. Why are men ok with eating whatever is presented to them? I literally have to beg my dh for dinner ideas. It would drive me batty to have someone "dictate" my food every day. @@

^^^^^ Feel the exact same way.
DH or the kids never request meals, even at my demanding them to give me ideas. Makes me crazy, help me out a bit and give me a lead, NOPE.

Going to put a whole chicken in the crockpot, mashed potatoes and corn. I LOVE doing whole chickens inthe crock! Do you make bone broth when you're done?

depending on of DS is working tonight- was thinking chicken cordon blue casserole. I try not to make anything too complicated if it is just 2 of us whenever I can. Since we'll be travelling and eating out all next week I will probably do something simple/homey.

Geez, Val! If each of yours could give you two lousy suggestions, you'd have half the month planned. WHen I ask DD16 she will say one of the following: I don't know, something good. Nothing in the crockpot. No pork. Nothing spicy. OR she will request something that I think is a total pain in the ass to make, like chicken parmesan or stuffed artichokes or a 42 layer crepe cake. How about telling me what you DO want instead of what you DON'T want? I found some ground beef that was earmarked for tacos. I cannot find an authentic taco recipe with ground beef, onion, cilantro, etc. Not one with the taco seasoning packet. And now that I've experienced "real" tacos, that is all I want. So we will just go out for them, I guess. There's a great place near by that is BYOB. The last time we went it was $12 for DH & me! So, long story short, DH will be over the moon with HH and I will have a little that & a lot ,ore salad.

Hubs doesn't care wth is for dinner- he's just grateful he doesn't have to cook it or figure it out. If I give him choices, he will pick something. Otherwise, he's no help, either. LOL I always feel like I make the same things over & over cuz I have no creativity. He doesn't care LOL

well I just picked up some markdown sirloin and bacon skewers , bought with a WT, so I guess that will be for tonight and the casserole tomorrow. Probably some roasted cauliflower and baked potatoes with the meat ..then then tomorrow I am done with cooking for a while...yay!
DH and DSs are awful with helping figuring out what's for dinner so I started an Excel list I can choose from. I need to remember to update it when something isn't on it. Last week I resorted to scrolling thought the WFD January? thread since the list didn't inspire me...hence the chicken cordon bleu casserole plan.
