I'm going to clean out the refrigerator this morning and plan on a leftovers night. If there's not much worthwhile I'll plan on steaks, baked potatoes and string beans- maybe some fresh baked bread if I'm really motivated.

Pork chops- trying a new recipe. Minimal ingredients & minimal prep. I'll post the recipe if it's a keeper! It's funny, with DD16 working 2 nights a week we get to eat food she would gripe about.

Streit's makes it as a year round product. Not sure what store carries it though....

Healthier Shrimp Scampi with rice and a salad. www.smokedngrilled.com/easy-healthy-shrimp-scampi/If I have wine left over I freeze it in ziplocs. Then when I have a recipe like this that calls for 1/2 C of white wine I don't have to open a whole bottle. Red wine is never left over, lol.

I've also seen GF matzos there, which you could crush and use to make homemade... kind of letting it percolate, lol. I'm heading up to the "Kosher Jewel" in Evanston in a couple weeks when my mom is visiting because she wants to see it, so am planning to take a look around there, too.

DH mentioned a bloomin onion the other day so it looks like Outback tonight. I'll probably have the coconut shrimp as my meal. I ate a pretty late lunch.

It was one of those meals that just didn't work. Kind of like "baked tacos." No flavor, not scampi-ish at all. A waste of shrimp. Boo.

Yep, it must be the half a cup of butter that just makes the garlic POP in regular scampi , isn't it?

Last night was rice & frozen chicken.
Tonight...IDK I bought some ground turkey at Meijer (20% off, I still had a $0.75/2 IP, and it's $1 back on ibotta), sooo...maybe something with that. Tacos? Cheeseburger cornbread? Not a clue.
