Mariano’s put out an ad for two Double Wednesdays April 16/23: www.marianos.com/circularCheck out Mashup Mom's matchups: www.mashupmom.com/marianos-deals-week-41014-42314/I'm definitely getting produce: -Delmonte Pineapple on sale for $2.50 each – if you got a $0.50 IP from Delmonte’s recent FB promo, you could double here to get it for $1.50 -Driscolls berries and doubling IPs from their rewards program (last week the blackberries were $2.50 at my store, so $0.50 after doubling a $1/1 IP) -Sweet potatoes on sale for $0.59/lb -Loose red potatoes show up for$0.39/lb as a personalized special (on their website it’s just a list of unadvertised price based for things you’ve bought before) – so if that’s true, I’ll pick up some of those too -Plus whatever SavingStar healthy deal comes up next Tuesday and some broccoli to get the Checkout 51 rebate What looks good to you? Please post any good deals you find in-store! How it works: -$25 minimum purchase (seems to be based on regular/shelf prices, not sale prices!) -first 5 coupons (with value of $1 or less) are doubled, so hand over your doublers first! -any additional coupons are deducted from your order at face value

Thanks, Beth!! We are moving like 4 blocks from a Mariano's. I can't wait to get back into couponing in July!! Good luck on your move! Just note that each Mariano's in the City is different. The best is one (in my opinion) in on Halsted in Greektown. The new one (Chicago and Damen) (old Dom's) is small and no bakery. The bagels are from a different vendor.

I find the same thing - each Mariano's is different, the produce prices can vary between stores. I like the Greektown one too, they have more selection than my regular store (Millennial Park).

I have not been to that one. On a Friday after work, the wine bar at the greektown one is HOPPING! I always find good clearance at that one too!

WOW... you are really moving near downtown! The area near Roosevelt Road has gotten ALOT better and nicer. Lots of shopping options/movie theaters/restaurants.

Yes, south loop! I can't wait!!!! I ordered my old lady grocery cart off Amazon last night. That totally made me laugh!!!! Most of the grocery stores have parking. I used to have that cart back in the day and it was awesome for laundry.

I am really hoping that I walk to more places once we are there. DH thinks I am silly because parking is relatively easy, but I am hoping I walk at least when it's nice outside.

You will definitely walk everywhere. So much easier than trying to maneuver around this crazy traffic!!! I am so jealous. My goal is to move to the west loop by next summer.

We looked at the west loop, too, but we work south. The reverse commute is only 10 minutes longer than DH's commute now. Fuzzy, I lived in dt Milwaukee, but it wasn't the same.

I live in the near north side, I have an old lady cart but don't really use it much anymore - I changed the way I shop, going to the store every few days since I can walk. The cart does come out for watermelon season or for stock ups on beverages though South Loop is a good location for the Shopkick app, I find myself going for a walk just to get Shopkick points!
