I have a bunch of items on price watch at camelcamelcamel.com and a number of them are Christmas themed. Lego and mega blocks advent calendars, videos, stuff like that. The first of these items is at the lowest price it has ever been. These may not be phenomenal deals, but they are things I'd like to have and not pay an arm and a leg for, plus get to use the "money" I earned from SB. So if anything else comes up I'll post. Keep in mind this is Amazon, so prices can change in a moment. That said: The Original Christmas Classics Gift Set (1976) DVD is $11.99 right now www.amazon.com/The-Original-Christmas-Classics-Gift/dp/B0057FGCJQ

I remember those "Christmas Specials" being such a big deal when we were kids. Cartoons & kid shows at night were only around the holidays so it was such a treat and so much fun waiting for them to come on. Now kids have cartoons all day long & nothing is a treat.

I know, but we don't have cable or satellite, just DVDs and Amazon Instant Video. So for us this is the only way to watch these. Plus it is a snuggle together under the blanket and watch, no just him vegetating in front of the TV.

Thank you for posting about the price match site. I should set that up. Just Dance 4 is something my niece probably wants. And I'd love a lego advent calendar too. I'm thinking of making my own tub of things instead but I bet that will be more pricey than the darn calendar.

Just curious - what is your price on the lego advent calendar?

Thank you for posting this, sounds like a GREAT idea for the things I have to buy and can't wait for "clearance" prices. Lego Advent calendar is always on my list too. I actually feel bad - the last two years I bought it on clearance for my two youngest and gave it to them the next year. Well, they started noticing the dates didn't line up with the calendar so that cat is out of the bag lol. The lowest I've seen it for is $30 before Christmas?

At yoyo.com they have a code for 25% (YOYO25), but shipping is free at $35 or 20% for new customers (RMNYOYO20) on the whole order so either $22.12 with 25% or $23.59 with 20% for the lego advent calendar.
ETA: It looks like the $35 shipping goes on list price

I'd like the Lego advent calendar, too, but I only to pay $20 for it. And that is $19 more than I usually spend on the crappy chocolate ones from Dollar Tree, lol. The older kids will be all "WTH? He gets legos & we get bad chocolates?"

I have a ton (a dozen or so) advent calendars watched. Since we don't have any of them I'm quite happy to get whatever. If you are asking about LEGO City Advent Calendar 2013 (60024)(MFG Age: 5 - 12 years) then I set Amazon to $25 and 3rd party to $23.

Last year DS was at a friends house and noticed his Star Wars Lego calendar was different than ours.

My boys are so into Star Wars I forgot there was any other Lego Calendar and the Star Wars one is more like $40 before any deals! The Lego City calendar looks just as cool, I'm going to watch for it also.

I've been looking at the "used" Playmobil Advent Calendar Police with Cool Additional Surprises ($19.17) since it will just be a damaged package, but now the price has dropped to its lowest level. Actually my alert was set for $23 and triggered at $22.21 and it has dropped again to $21.99. Not sure if I'll pull the trigger just yet since I'd prefer Lego rather than Playmobil
