Just did the $100 MasterCard GC deal tonight, worked fine and got my $10 Cat.

I use the full-serve lane, and always do the penny trick to make sure I get the $10 Cat. After the cashier rings up the GC, I give her a penny and she enters that as payment. After the $10 Cat pops out, I pay the balance.
