I had some very ripe bananas to use up so yesterday I made this banana bread recipe.... heidibakes.blogspot.com.au/2012/02/trisha-yearwoods-banana-bread.htmlI got a new pan for Christmas that makes 8 mini loaves, so I used that and then had some leftover so I made 6 muffins. My family consumed every last bite of these at the dinner table last night. Not sure what was so different about this recipe (buttermilk maybe?) but they LOVED them.

Ok for once I followed the recipe and went out and picked up some buttermilk. I made two batches. One with streusel and the other without. DH thought the batch was too sweet for him. Preferred it without. Of course the kids loved it with the streusel. The recipe turned out pretty much the same as my own recipe. It was great.

In my original recipe I don't use milk. And use bread flour instead of regular flour.
