Saw this on CVS's Facebook page this morning. I've never been a smoker. What do you think? Will it hurt or help their sales?
Today, we’ve announced that we are ending the sales of tobacco in all 7,600 CVS/pharmacy stores by October 1. As a health care company, it’s time for us to take a stand and to put our customers, colleagues and patients on a path to better health. Share this if you stand with us in our commitment to go tobacco-free.

Good for them. I'm sure it also has to do with safety issues for their employees. No cigs, less robberys.

On second thought they probably just stick that in their pants and run, so no employee danger. I absolutely approve of this move also. I hope Walgreens follows suit.

Although I'm not a smoker and hell really not even a drinker I still think this is a bad move on their part. They will lose lots of business. Every time I'm in CVS there is someone there it seems just to buy cigs.
