This site software does not allow direct cut and paste from other websites along with retaining formatting. If you try to copy & paste formatted text (i.e. with links in) it will strip the links. This issue is not up to me, it is a security measure of every single Proboard and is in place to prevent service attacks to their servers. However, there is a workaround. Have the website/blog you want to copy from open in another window. Have it smaller so you can have it on top of the posting window here. In the post window here, make sure underneath the posting box, you change it from "BBCODE" to "Preview." Like this image: Then highlight what you want to copy, as in this image: Then click and drag that highlighted text over into the posting window, like in this image: You see how it is in "Preview" mode instead of "BBCode" mode. If you drag over into "BBCode" mode, it will strip the links. If you drag over into "Preview" mode, it will retain the formatting & links. I know this seems annoying and clunky (I think so, too), but once you accomplish it once, it is really simple. We all appreciate everyone posting links & deals, and want it to be as simple as possible Thank you to Mashup Mom in advance for being the star of my instructional images LOL

If you manually type in a web address like www.google.com, it will automatically hyperlink it. This issue only affects a mass cut & paste.

LOL! What a NICE art set deal.
It also works if you don't have your window you're pasting from open smaller -- you can just have it in a tab, then highlight what you want, drag into the forum tab, then drop it into the post. (Did that sound clear as mud? I don't have pretty visuals.)
