there's a Lou's in Lakewood! When we first moved here we had to drive to someplace like Palatine for Lous.
Georgio's in downtown CL is very good deep dish, too.
Now I sound like an old-timer. In my day, the intersection of Randall and Algonquin was a 4-way stop sign. That's the way it was and we liked it!
In my day Jacobs High School was still in the middle of the corn field! Man I'm old. OMG IC2 my DH talks about his old HS being in the middle of a corn field. I am going to have to remember to ask him what the name was. His family moved down here around 1984.

Add Payless to the list of stores I think are going to be going. They are rarely busy and have high prices for cheap shoes.

Wow, that Target's been there forever. We used to go there whenever we went to the mall because there was no Target by us.

OMG that would be too funny! Well after trying to extract information out of DHs pea brain(which did not happen) he calls his mom to find out what HS he went to.
And Ding Ding Ding He went to Jacobs also.

:)DF I say DH has a swiss cheese memory. And remembering names forget it. But on the other hand this man can fix almost anything if it is broken. Also he was these his freshman and sophomore year then moved here the summer before junior year. Hummmm 30 years geeeez where did that time go. IC2 kinda funny how people run into each other. He could remember Golden Eagles and then started spilling his funny stories. Oh and how he wishes he could have a roast beef sammy from a place called Kym's which I am sure is long gone. He was to funny listening to.
