www.nbcchicago.com/news/local/Whole-Foods-Targets-Dominicks-Shoppers-238187561.htmlWhole Foods is attempting to capitalize on all of the former Dominick's shoppers looking for a new place to buy groceries. Dominick's closed all of its stores in the Chicagoland area on Saturday. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Whole Foods has mailed flyers offering Dominick's shoppers $15 off a $50 purchase, along with a sympathy note and a list of items that defy the store's expensive reputation. Shoppers have until Feb. 15 to use the coupons, or present their Dominick’s loyalty cards to get the savings. Jewel-Osco is also targeting former Dominick's shoppers by offering 10 percent off any food or merchandise purchase in exchange for a Dominick's loyalty card. That promotion runs out at midnight Saturday. Whole Foods is rumored to be taking over six shuttered Dominick's stores, the Sun-Times reports. I need to go to the one by my parents and try this with MY dom's card. My mom turned all her cards in already. Thinking I might be able to get a decent deal. Does MUM blog Whole Foods?

I need to go to the one by my parents and try this with MY dom's card. My mom turned all her cards in already. Thinking I might be able to get a decent deal. Does MUM blog Whole Foods? Whole Foods doesn't put out an ad really -- they have a super tiny 1-2 page in store flyer only, so they are really hard to blog. I sometimes get highlights from another blogger who walks the store and posts unadvertised deals, but she just had a baby so that's kind of on hold, lol. I had several freebies posted near the end of Dec., but the prices have probably flipped already, and the new month's Whole Deal is online so you can no longer print the Nov/Dec coupons. If you have the older whole deal coupon still, the Spectrum Mayo in this post is a regular price so you can still do the deal: www.mashupmom.com/whole-foods-free-spectrum-mayo-imagine-organic-soup/ . And there is a new Muir Glen deal this morning: www.mashupmom.com/whole-foods-muir-glen-deals-cheap-or-free/

I really wish we had something like a Whole Foods up in Antioch. All we get is a stupid Wal-Mart. And we have a Jewel and Aldi. The competition is wide open for a Target and another grocery store!

I was looking at this month’s Whole Foods store coupons and they have a coupon for $1.00/1 Go Veggie! Lactose or dairy free product. The Go Veggie! site has two manufacturer coupons to stack: $1.00/1 Go Veggie! dairy free product and $1.00/1 any Go Veggie! product. - Go Veggie! non dairy cream cheese runs $2.99 at Whole Foods, last I checked, making it just $.99 after both coupons. The non-dairy cheese shreds I think run around $3.99, so $1.99-ish after both coupons. Dairy free junior high guy likes the “cream cheese,” but not so much the other “cheese,” for what it is worth.

I went today. They'll take the $15/$50 off right at the register when you give them your Dominick's card, you don't need to go to CS and there is no actual coupon. A couple more deals I saw: Several varieties of shelf stable Almond Breeze are $1.69. Stack the $1.00/2 Whole Foods printable or in this month’s Whole Deal with the $1.00/2 on Mambo Sprouts and they’re $.69 each.
The small cups of So Delicious dairy free yogurt were $1.39 (tagged $1.99 but rang up less) and the bigger ones were $2.50. $1.00/1 in the 1/5 SS2 -- not in Tribune but in Sun-Times and Spanish inserts and regional. Stack with $1.00/3 WF coupon. Some varieties of Spectrum Mayo are on sale for $3.99. Stack the $3.00/1 FB printable www.facebook.com/spectrumcookingoils/app_631434143538932 with the $3.00/1 in the nov/dec whole deal -- I got the overage Go Veggie fake cream cheese was $3.39, so $1.39 after $1.00/1 printable www.goveggiefoods.com/special-offers/ and $1.00/1 WF coupon.

In addition to the deals I mentioned in my Whole Foods shopping trip today, I picked up their tiny in-store flyer and spotted a couple more deals. This should be for Chicago area stores through tomorrow 1/14. - 365 Everyday Value 15 oz no salt added black beans, $.89. (I also saw cannellini beans at this same price in store today.)
- 365 Everyday Value blueberry cereal bars, $1.99.
- Whole Foods Maket sourdough bread in the bakery dept, 20 oz, $2.99.
- Organic navel oranges, $1.49/lb.
- Nasoya organic tofu 14 oz (dairy dept), 2/$3.00. Print $.75/1 on Mambo Sprouts or another $.75/1 on Facebook and you have $.75 organic tofu!
- Earth Balance organic 64 oz refrigerated soy milk, 2/$5.00.
- Nutiva organic coconut manna, $6.99.
- Orgain nutri shakes, 2/$4.00. Get $1.00 back on Ibotta. Stack with the $1.00/1 Whole Foods coupon here for one free shake.
