One of our tenants had their checkbook wiped out after using her debit card recently and she shops at Target everyday.
SMH I wonder if this is what happened to her?

I called Discover card and they have a recording that says we know about the breach at Target. I checked my few purchases and they are all correct. I haven't been to Target in a long while and wasn't too worried.
If you want to check you card just call 1-800-347-2683

I got my email from Target last night. I guess it takes a long time to notify, what is it, 40 million people? Oh, and I did use my Target RedCard in the store on the 30th.

I have used target for credit not debit, I have not heard from target, should I be worried Did you use your card at Target between the 27th of November and the 15th of December? I used mine so I plan on having them send me a new one with a new number. I just haven't gotten around to it yet. They say the thieves can hold on to the number and use it a long time later after you would have thought you'd be safe. If you used your card at Target during the time period mentioned I would definitely get a new card.

I received this email from Target today
Dear REDcard holder,
Thank you for your patience with Target as we work through the breach of certain credit and debit card information at U.S. Target stores between Nov. 27 and Dec. 15, 2013. Due to high volumes to our call centers, we want to make sure that you have some key information.
We want you to know a few important things:
You do not need to call us unless you found charges on your account that you didn’t make.
You will not be held liable for any fraudulent charges.
We have made changes to our REDcard fraud detection and authorization procedures to further protect you.
We are offering free credit monitoring for one year to every single person who was impacted by this crime. We will give you more information about that soon.
If you have concerns and would like to check your account online, visit Target.com/REDcard.
For additional questions, check Frequently Answered Questions on Target’s corporate website.
We hope these resources help with your immediate needs. If you still feel you need to speak with someone by phone, you may call 866-852-8680.
Thank you for your continued support of Target.
