I emailed Dominick's a week ago requesting the current Price Scanning Accuracy Guarantee policy, they were kind enough to send me the following reply:
Mr. XXXXX:
Thank you for your inquiry about the Scanning Accuracy Policy at your local Dominick’s store.
Below is our Scanning Accuracy Policy:
“We guarantee the accuracy of our prices. If the price charged is higher than our lowest advertised price, or just for U offer, and our lowest advertised price is less than $5, we will give you the item free. If the price charged is higher than our lowest advertised price and the lowest advertised price for the item is $5 or more, we will sell the item at the lowest advertised price and give you a $5 Safeway gift card. Limit one free item or one gift card per transaction – additional items will be sold at the lowest advertised price. Excludes fuel, dairy, alcoholic beverage, tobacco and pharmacy products.”
We place a high priority on accurate pricing, and our Scanning Accuracy Policy applies to shelf prices and just for U prices. We spoke with XXXXX, the Store Manager, to clarify this issue. He will review your complaint and take corrective action.
Please note that if multiple different items scan incorrectly, you will only get one free item/gift card per transaction. All other items will be adjusted to the advertised or shelf price and you will be refunded the difference. Also, in the case of just for U items, the store Customer Service Desk may be required to call our Customer Service Center to confirm that the item was loaded to your Fresh Values Card.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
Mr. XXXXX, should you require further assistance, you may reply to this email or phone us at 1-877-723-3929 and reference Contact ID XXXXX. One of our associates will be happy to assist you.
Thank you for shopping at Dominick’s.
Sincerely,
Dominick’s Customer Service Team

Thanks, that's good to know. I've been shopping at Dom's more lately.
