This Saturday, 8/3, Ace is offering free quarts of Clark Kensington paint again.
It's one per customer, but if it's slow they don't seem to care if you get more than one. Supplies are limited, but I've never had a problem. It is FLAT paint only, so think about that when planning your project.
Our house is 90% 70 year old plaster walls, so flat paint works pretty well here for the most part.

I have used a number of these to redecorate/refresh the kids old dressers. Plus baby is taking my office for his room so maybe I will give him an accent wall.
Awesome!

I'm all over this, last time they did it, DH and I were finally able to pick the new paint color for the living room. Now the 2 upstairs bedrooms need to be painted, it's so much easier to choose the color you want when you can put some on the wall and look at it for a few days instead of picking it out from a 1 inch square.

Can you paint outside stuff w/flat? Sorry but I am a dummy when it comes to this stuff. I'm talking about painting outside trim on doorways etc? A quart would be perfect for sprucing those up. TIA.

if you use interior paint outside it will peel
you need an enamel finish for outside

Ok. I'm publicly committing to my Paint Plan so I follow through. My goal is 5-6 quarts, so this will be a family affair. I am SO SICK of my wall colors. I'm painting the kitchen a dark-ish apple-ish green-ish color like this: I have to work around my burgundy Viking range and my kitchen is currently a pale yellow/gold color that I am completely sick of. I'm going to do something along these lines in my entryway: And I'm painting former DD8's room once the kids go back to school, too. It no longer needs to be pepto bismol pink since she has turned me off of girls permanently, I think. Not sure what to do with that room, so I guess I'll see what kind of bedding I have in stock from previous rooms & just have an extra neutral room. After that, I really just need to focus on the living room/dining room. I want new living room furniture, though, so I will wait until DS7 stops touching everything in sight on his way to the bathroom after eating. He is a super grimy boy.

Does this seem weird to anyone? Just rec'd a bridal shower invite for myself and my 8 yr. old DD. The shower starts at 5 and says for dinner and drinks. Do they maybe not realize my DD is 8 or is this common to invite peeps' kids' to BRIDAL showers now? Just confused.

Thanks so much for posting. We just moved yesterday and today DD8 asked if she could have pink/blue/purple stripes in her room- right after we put her bed together! Ok- I have much bigger fish to fry right now, but sure!

Bump! Just a reminder that today is free paint day. My entry way will be "Stagecoach" by the end of the week if all goes well. Dining room will be "Sierra Madre" if DH gets there before they run out.
