Ok. I did it! I bought the copy paper + the cheap school supplies. I was happy to find Prang Watercolors for $4.99 (have no idea why it HAS to be Prang) and of course a AWESOME Spider-Man 1in/2 pocket (these teachers are a PITA) binder clearanced for $2.
I turned in 9 cartridges. So I will get $18 back for the ink & $6.98 back for the copy paper. Is this correct???

Did you have them scan your rewards barcode?

They pulled me up with my phone #. I was in the system. Tomorrow I am going to see what my Dad had stashed away in his desk for empty cartridges.
Remind me never to bring the boys there. They needed everything there. I was so out of my element and they oohing and ahhing everything. Somehow I got talked into neon green pointed sissors ($1) that were not Friskars brand.
That school supply list is a piece of work. SMH.

I am so happy to see this thread...I picked up the batteries and paper today. We will use both so the timing of sale was good. They gave me the "Teachers Rewards" card because our program is for kids up to 13 years old.
Will need to cash in some swagbucks to get paypal then off to ebay for cheap ink carts. Anyone have a favorite seller they are willing to share?
I'm excited to jump into this program as it seems pretty straightforward and hope you all can help/suggest things along the way.
Thanks OP and those who have added info!

You can earn up to $20 in rewards per calendar month per member (from 10 ink/toner cartridges). While there is no limit to the number or brand of ink/toner cartridges you may recycle, you will only receive rewards for the qualifying†items and limited quantity noted. The total amount of your recycling rewards issued cannot exceed your total qualified* purchase amount in your MaxPerks account

new2q do you know what that means?
Are you saying no overage - like if you use coupons?

you can get overage on coupons like duracell
the qualifying purchases is quarterly, if you buy far items in addition to doing the recycling you will meet the qualifying purchases usually with no issues
