I love the chopped salad! I usually get two meals out of it. Love their fries and burgers too. In fact I think that is all I have ever eaten there. Over and over and over.
Charlie, DD is a salad girl, I don't think it would travel well to Florida but I bet she would be willing to try as long as someone else was paying.

I'm with you. We lived less than half a mile from one for 6+ years and I don't think I ate there even 6 times. OMG, we would've eaten there once a week. It helps to be pretty broke and not want to pay to feed 3 adults and 3 kids..... would be $30-40+ most likely...

That's true, reporter. It is a little pricey. There's a new one opening in our former area & I told dh when I heard that it's a good thing it wasn't while we lived there or we'd be Portillo's broke.

Why? Just WHY?

I actually miss the clam strips that White castle used to have.
I'm in the midst of trying to thaw some chicken breasts to make mexican chicken casserole. Dh is off tonight so he should be ok if it is a little late.
ds's are eating all the BD turkey chili I made the other day so I will have that for dinner with a bit of the chicken before I don't get any more than a cup of it. . Mostly stuck to the day 3 BD plan today- no tomatoes so I needed to wing it a little. Nice that I had 2 slices of bread yesterday and another today.

I wish someplace around here sold poppyseed hot dog buns. Those are the only reason I usually step foot inside of Jewel. They carry the Jewel brand poppy seed buns for about a buck otherwise Meijer had Rosen brand for $4! Seems strange that you can't find them down there. Maybe poppy seed buns are strictly a Chicago thing?

okay seriously am I the ONLY person in this town ( besides the rest of my family.. lol that thinks portillos is over rated?? I rather got to my local hot dog stand and get 3 vienna beef hotdogs and yummy hand cut fries for 4.50 , at portillos you are lucky if that buys you ONE hot dog no fries and they have great soup and beef sandwiches as well!! No, you're not the only one. I have yet to find something I like there.

All French fries are good. Yum!
I agree there are better hot dogs than Portillos. I still like them though. I'm ready for grilling season!

10pack of hot dogs, only $60. EDIT : Plus $22.50 shipping. Not bad at all. The price includes shipping unless you want it overnight.
