Mariano’s put out an ad HERE for two Double Wednesdays Jan 15/22. Check out Mashup Mom's matchups: www.mashupmom.com/marianos-deals-week-of-1914-12214/The cold kept me away last week, so I want to go this Wednesday and get some produce... what looks good to you? Please post if you find any good deals! How it works: -$25 minimum purchase (seems to be based on regular/shelf prices, not sale prices!) -first 5 coupons (with value of $1 or less) are doubled, so hand over your doublers first! -any additional coupons are deducted from your order at face value

thanks for the post. I really need to start looking into this store now that there is one near me and DOMS is gone.

I hate the parking lot for the one near us. I only went once when it opened,. The parking spots are very narrow, and you have to drive up to,get to the store. I need to give it one more try, but will want to drive a smaller car than my van.

I've tried liking this store but I just am not into it. Perhaps it's the layout of our store or perhaps it's just the prices for a lot of their products. IDK it's not a replacement for Dom's for me. I hate that they never send a sale flier too.

Mariano's does feel like more "work" to me - the double coupons are a great thing, but cobbling together a $25 purchase, having only one day to shop (Wed) and the longer trek there are often deterrents for me. That said, when I do get my act together on a Wednesday I feel like I do pretty well with the doubles, and I like the produce department (for selection, low banana prices, usually carry Driscolls berries so I can double IPs). The selection is closer to what Doms was for me - the tiny Jewel nearest me has very few items in comparison. Sigh, I miss Doms and the glee-inducing JFU glitches

Wednesday is not the most convenient day to shop for me. I do love Marianos, but I do not take advantage of the double coupons as often as I want.

I agree with what you all have said. Mariano's is a bit out of my way, and the $25 purchase requirement is not an incentive for me to shop there more often on Wednesdays. I so miss Dom's

I need to give it one more try, but will want to drive a smaller car than my van. Drive to the back of the lot, the part that faces the park that they are working on. I don't think the spots are that small, but there are always people driving around so that makes me nervous. I just go to the back, don't even try to get closer and it works fine.

Also enter off of Naperville Road. It is a little easier. The store is right down the street from me and I have only been there twice. BUT both times we got gelato the boys call it the Gelato Store.

You can't beat the $1 mini gelatos!
I'm there quite a bit, depending on DS #2's work schedule. I have found most of the prices to be competitive. Not the meat or cheese section, but the dry goods and dairy are about the same as Ultra.
My "problem" with the store is that people treat it like it's happy hour! Ok, no drinks, but lots of standing around and talking. Get the hell out of my way, I just want to shop!

I have stopped in a few times on a Friday evening and the bar is mobbed!!!

Soft baked pure protein bars were on sale for $1, so free wyb 2 and use the $1/2 mfq.

Blackberries were $1.50 at my store (not marked on the shelf), so if you have any Driscolls IPs these will be free/cheap after doubling - I bought a bunch to freeze for smoothies
The small packs of Organic Girl greens were $2.50 at my store (the price of these seem to range from $2.50-$3.50 everyday, changes frequently), so this was $0.50 with the $1/1 IP from signing up for their newsletter (iloveorganicgirl.com)
