Why let them shop early for food & not for the HBA stuff? If the system isn't working that early to reflect the 50% off, are they going to let them 'hide' their carts of stuff?
Just wondering aloud.... LITH did when they closed and clearanced their booze. The entire dept was wiped out by employees Well, I'd probly need some drinks, too, if I was losing my job! LOL

The entire dept was wiped out by employees Well, they are losing their jobs, so maybe giving them an opportunity to stock up for their families I have no issue with it. I'm getting less enthused about doing it anyway. It honestly doesn't seem worth the effort.

When DD20 was still working at Doms when it was announced I was planning to give her an emergency fund and a list in case there was no notice about the clearance LOL
All the kids (I have 3 now you know lol) want to get up and go Friday morning. They were having a pow wow about priorities and shelf stability of various wants/needs lol I was so proud

today I heard that they will most likely let the employees in between 4-5am on Friday so that they can have the opportunity to shop. Just an fyi....... Why let them shop early for food & not for the HBA stuff? If the system isn't working that early to reflect the 50% off, are they going to let them 'hide' their carts of stuff? Just wondering aloud.... Odd thing a couple of the cashiers at one of my stores were there last Friday to shop for HBA at 6 am because they were off and the staff that was working were really rude to them. So I find this kind of funny.

OK, is this round just food or is it paper products, etc?

OK, is this round just food or is it paper products, etc? My store called it "grocery" I did ask specifically about cleaning products last week and was told this week.

I overheard a cashier & an overnight worker talking when I was there (at 6 a.m.) saying they hoped there would be some left by the time they got to it. IDK.

I am really hoping there are a few good food deals to be had and some stock when I get there, our freezer and pantry is literally almost empty lol. We need the food! DH has off Friday, but some window people are suppose to come and replace our dining room window that the association landscapers broke. Nothing like getting a new window in the freezing cold and snow! Thinking I'll just have him drop me off extra early!

When I was there yesterday the cashier told me Dry Goods only, meats & produce was not going to be included. He didn't say anything about frozen food, I didn't think to ask about frozen food DUH.

in previous DOMS store closings (I have been to several over the years LOL) the produce and meat was NOT included. Frozen food was. Can't say this is exactly the same as the whole company is closing, but this is how it was when individual stores closed. I can't recall dairy. I am leaning towards it was not discounted.
